In general, there are few words to say because right now I think we all feel insecure and have no certainty about anything: how long will all this last?
We had to reorganize our lives in our own four walls and change our daily habits suddenly.
No one was prepared for all this.
In addition, there is fear, fear for yourself but above all for loved ones who are often far away.
You always hope to find a post of theirs on fb, a comment, a like, a message from them because it is a way to know that everything is fine or at least you think that they are trying to live the moment well.
We are all making an effort.
We are resisting.
We are sad about what is happening to others.
We are overwhelmed every day by numbers, percentages and graphs.
We all already have a relative or acquaintance affected by this relentless virus.
We live on the edge trying not to break the rules.
We pay attention to all hygiene rules.
Above all, we go forward hoping that something good will happen, that the Government will realize the economic difficulty of everyone, by now, that real aid will arrive and that we will be able to go on with some sustenance to cheer us up and make our beloved island shine again.
It’s not easy for anyone, but I understood one thing: I don’t have to give up!
I don’t have to do it for myself, for my son, for the whole family and for the people who love me.
I don’t give up because my resistance gives strength to those who are on the front line right now fighting and risking for us.
I don’t want to give up and I think about what to do, I ask myself a question: what contribution can I make in this situation?
Maybe I can give my time as a gift! and since my job is to inform and promote Fuerteventura I will continue in this direction and I will use my means to give voice to the people and visibility to the activities of the island.
I want to be there!
I want to make my contribution.
Let’s help each other and not give up.
