<br>Administratively, it belongs to the <strong><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Province of Las Palmas<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, along with <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Gran Canaria<\/span><\/span>, organisation of the island is structured into different levels of government: the <strong>Government of the Canary Islands<\/strong>, the island government represented by the <strong>Cabildo of Fuerteventura<\/strong> and the municipalities, which are responsible for municipal administration. <br\/>Currently, <strong>Fuerteventura is divided into six municipalities<\/strong>, each with its
