waters, is particularly popular with surfers and tourists due to its ideal conditions for surfing and other water sports.<br \/>\nBut when is the best time to visit?<br \/>\nAnd how to get there?<br \/>\nLet&#8217;s find out together.    <\/p>\n<p>Playa del Moro stretches for several kilometers along the northeastern coast of Fuerteventura, offering a breathtaking spectacle of golden dunes and azure sea.<br \/>\nThe landscape is dominated by the majestic dunes of Corralejo, which make this beach not only a great place to relax, but also to enjoy activities such as surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing.<br \/>\nThe dunes, which cover more than 2,500 hectares, are the largest in the Canary Islands and create a unique and atmospheric environment. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Waves:<\/strong> The waves in Playa del Moro vary greatly throughout the year.<br \/>\nIn summer and spring, waves are usually smaller and smoother, with average heights of 1-2 meters, ideal for beginners and those looking for waves that are easy to handle.<br \/>\nIn winter, however, the waves can reach considerable heights, up to 3 meters or more, attracting experienced surfers looking for a challenge.<br \/>\nWaves are mainly affected by Atlantic swells and local winds, which can create waves of varying quality.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>Tides:<\/strong> The tides play a crucial role in Playa del Moro.<br \/>\nThe beach is subject to relatively high tides, which can significantly alter the surfing conditions.<br \/>\nDuring high tide, the beach narrows, and the waves can become more powerful and dangerous.<br \/>\nIt is advisable to check the tide forecast before planning a surf session, especially if you don&#8217;t have much experience.   <\/p>\n<h3>When to visit Playa del Moro?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Spring:<\/strong> Spring is one of the best times to visit Playa del Moro, thanks to the mild weather conditions and moderate waves.<br \/>\nThe wind is steady but not overly strong, making this season ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Summer:<\/strong> During the summer, Playa del Moro becomes a reference point for beginners, thanks to the smaller and more regular waves.<br \/>\nWater temperatures are warmer, and wind conditions are generally favorable.<br \/>\nHowever, the influx of tourists is greater, so it is advisable to arrive early to find the ideal spot on the beach.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Autumn:<\/strong> Autumn offers conditions similar to spring, with still pleasant temperatures and good quality waves.<br \/>\nIt is a less crowded time than summer, making it easier to enjoy the beach in peace. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Winter:<\/strong> Winter in Playa del Moro is the busiest season for surfers.<br \/>\nThe waves are high and powerful, and the winds can get strong and unpredictable.<br \/>\nThis season is only recommended for experienced surfers looking for extreme conditions and demanding challenges. in Corralejo.<br \/>\nAt the beach you won&#8217;t find anything. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Food and Drink:<\/strong> Playa del Moro is a natural beach with no amenities, so it is advisable to bring water and food with you, especially if you plan to spend the whole day on the beach.<br \/>\nA few kilometres away, to the north, you will find a supermarket and bars\/restaurants in the Grandes Playas area. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Sunscreen:<\/strong> The area is very sunny and windy, so don&#8217;t forget to apply proper sunscreen and wear sunglasses and a hat.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Safety:<\/strong> Currents can be strong, especially during winter.<br \/>\nIf you&#8217;re not an experienced swimmer or surfer, it&#8217;s best to avoid venturing too far offshore during high tides.<br \/>\nHowever, there are the rescue workers who will &#8220;whistle you continuously&#8221;.
