Feaga 2025: information

Feaga 2025 FuerteventuraFEAGA, the Feria de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca de Fuerteventura, is one of the most important events in the Canary Islands dedicated to the primary sector. This annual fair is a meeting point for farmers, breeders, fishermen and all those who want to discover the traditions and local products of the island.

The history of FEAGA: from its origins to the present day

FEAGA was founded in 1986 with the aim of promoting agriculture and livestock farming in Fuerteventura, an island with a strong pastoral and agricultural tradition despite the arid climate. Since the first edition, the event has been held at the Granja Experimental de Pozo Negro, in the municipality of Antigua, becoming over the years the most important agricultural fair in the Canary Islands.

Today, FEAGA attracts thousands of visitors and professionals in the sector, making it an unmissable event for anyone who wants to get to know the rural culture of Fuerteventura up close.

  • Queso Majorero PDO – The famous majorera goat’s cheese, internationally awarded, will be the protagonist with different varieties, from fresh to aged, with paprika, gofio or olive oil.
  • Aloe Vera – Considered the “green gold” of Fuerteventura, the local aloe vera is famous for its soothing and regenerative properties. There will be exhibitors with natural skin care products.
  • Sal de Janubio – The artisanal sea salt extracted in the Canary Islands salt pans, perfect for enhancing the flavors of local dishes.
  • Fuerteventura Honey – Produced by bees that feed on the island’s endemic flora, Majorero honey has a unique flavor and beneficial properties.
  • Local wines and spirits – From volcanic wines to artisanal liqueurs made from Canarian herbs and fruits, perfect to taste at the fair.

During the event, it will be possible to taste and buy these products directly from local producers, thus supporting the island’s economy and taking home an authentic piece of Fuerteventura.

A tribute to the “Ganadería de Costa”

One of the novelties of this year will be a tribute to the Ganadería de Costa, a traditional farming method that allows animals to graze along coastal areas. This practice, handed down for generations, is fundamental to the island’s economy and culture and will be one of the central themes of the 2025 edition.
